Difference between Testing and Debugging

Testing:

1. The purpose of testing is to find bugs and errors.
2. Testing is done by tester.
3. It can be automated.
4. It can be done by outsider like client.
5. Most of the testing can be done without design knowledge.

Debugging:

1. The purpose of debugging is to correct those bugs found during testing.
2. Debugging is done by programmer or developer.
3. It can’t be automated.
4. It must be done only by insider i.e. programmer.
5. Debugging can’t be done without proper design knowledge.
